Searching
There are two ways to find a term in this glossary, which are LIST and SEARCH.
- To use LIST one can either specify the
letter that the term begins with, plus its category with the pull-down menus. Then click the button "List".
If a specific category doesn't produce any results, use "All" as the category.
Clicking the letters of the alphabet will list all terms that begin with that letter, regardless of its category, producing the same results as the second option above.
- SEARCH accepts a keyword and will find any term that has that keyword in it,
regardless of the letter that it begins with, and the category that it belongs to.
Example: typing "sol" and clicking the button "Search" may display words like:
"desolate", "solaris", "varsol", "aerosol" and so on.
- The results are displayed in a "preview" table with the headings ID, Term and Meaning.
ID is the number of the record in the database, which is used by the editor(s) to quickly construct links
to other terms. .
The meaning of terms is cropped in the preview table. To view the full text, click the term itself.
